I wanted to create an effect similar to mould, the look in the image below reminds me of the mould growing. I have used dyes to create this. I decided to then work into the fabric print created using free stitch. Trying bright blue thread to represent graffiti was unsuccessful in my mind and I dont like the design this creates. Slightly more successful was to use natural green and brown threads to sew more 'mould' patches, the threads were then left to hang down, similar to the work I did on pictures. I plan on using this on a garment.
